The patch looks quite sensible, but since I don't run Gnome and I don't have a need for this package, I have not tested it.
I have wrapped the raw patch into a proper debdiff that acts on the hardy version of the conduit source package (0.3.6-1ubuntu1) . The package builds and everything looks sane. Please, will someone test and see if the debdiff actually works? Then report back here (or upload).
