To expand this bug report a little, this is a suggestion to backport changes to snd-hda-intel that improve the support of the Realtek ALC262 codec as used in Fujitsu Lifebook E & S series laptops (specifically ICH8-based machines such as the S6410 & E8410). These should apply with minimal fuzz on top of the 2.6.24 kernels you are using for Hardy Heron. Please apply in the order listed:
