Public bug reported:
I have no Internet working on my new Gigabyte GA-X48-DQ6. It does work
in Windows. I found a fix that involved the r8168 driver from Realtek's
website, compiling and installing it.
It works when I do that, except my motherboard has 2 Ethernet
controllers and Ubuntu only recognizes 1, and that every time the kernel
or packages related to it are upgraded, I need to do the steps again --
sometimes several times.
I use Ubuntu 7.10. I don't know if it affects 8.04, I'll upgrade soon,
but as I wanted this bug fixed, I'll postpone my update a little for
maybe I am of help.
