Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: synaptic
When I click on System, Administration, Synaptic, it fails to start. Idem if I
click in my launch-icon in the pannel.
The command asociated with both icons is gksu gksu /usr/sbin/synaptic. Itś
curious, because if I type in terminal gksu /usr/sbin/synaptic, and "sudo
password timer" is active (so there is no need to retipe password), the
program starts without problem, but if it's necesary to enter the passwd,
synaptic does not start, nor gksu asks me for a password. I tried to change
launcher properties to gksudo and sudo and I have the same problerm.
If I type run in terminal sudo synaptic, there's no problem, synaptic starts.
I had no problem with other gksu launchers, only synaptic
