Yeah, I confirm this too. I'm using Hardy after upgrading from Edgy. There I used XMMS for opening folders, but in Hardy I decided to switch to Audacious. XMMS is still in my "open with" menu, even though the app itself is not around anymore. But other apps don't add there. And yes, it is only so for 'folder' type, all 'normal' files are opened okay.
