I have compiled and installed 2.6.25 with kernelcheck. Had major issues with 2.6.24x. similar to this bug + hard lockups daily.
My card is a d-link 520+ with axc100 chip. With 2.6.25 everything works fine connecting to WEP-encrypted network via ndiswrapper - wicd.
