Public bug reported:
My Canon IP4200 was printing fine in Kubuntu 7.10. After I upgraded to
8.04, my printing suddenly does not print. The printer driver is still
installed and it shows in my Printers window in System Settings. When I
do a Test Print, it says that the info was sent to the printer, but the
printer do not print. The Job Queue also shows the file to be printed,
but it just stays there.
It is rather frustrating when doing an upgrade and something that was
working before, suddenly do not work anymore. I specifically bought the
Canon printer, because it had Linux drivers available. Sadly though, it
seems like Canon is not helping their Linux customers. Their driver
still dates back to 2006. Even the CD Printing feature is not available
in Linux.
