Both of these are metapackages, so no functionality is lost by removing
them. If you choose to remove the openoffice.org packages, then these
language-support-* metapackages will be removed as a harmless
consequence. It is very possible to remove these packages; just ignore
the metapackages being removed. This behaviour is by design, so I am
therefore closing this bug. If you disagree with this decision, then
please feel free to reopen this report.
