Public bug reported:
Description: Ubuntu 8.04
Release: 8.04
The keyboard layout for Gutsy and Hardy doesn't behave like it did in
Feisty. For example, in Feisty, in order to get the " ñ " letter, I used
to do { [ Right-Alt + ^ ] + n }, but since Gutsy it doesn't work this
way anymore. Now, if I press the same keys combination I get " ~n "
which is not what I want.
Additionally, before I pressed { [ Right-Alt + ' ] + a } in order to get
an " á ", but now I'm getting " ´a " instead.
Also, if I press { [ ¨ ] + i } I get " ¨i ", but I expected an " ï "
instead.
I've noticed this behaviour after doing and update from Feisty to Gutsy,
and then from Gutsy to Hardy. As keyboard layout, using "Switzerland
German, eliminate dead keys". Entry from xorg.conf
Section "InputDevice"
Identifier "Generic Keyboard"
Driver "kbd"
Option "CoreKeyboard"
Option "XkbRules" "xorg"
Option "XkbModel" "pc105"
Option "XkbLayout" "ch"
Option "XkbVariant" "de_nodeadkeys"
EndSection
Thanks
