Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: openoffice.org-l10n-de

Hi.

I'm on Hardy Heron and have the testing, unstable und backport
repositories activated. Some days ago the update-manager notified me of
updates to many of the openoffice.org packages and of course I went
ahead and installed them - with the result that most packages where in
fact uninstalled due to a conflict.

Now I got it up and running again but without german help files. My
system's default locale is en-US but I also prefer to have de-DE
packages installed, since my mother tounge is German. Unfortunatly the
package openoffice.org-l10n-de seems to have broken dependencies. This
means whenever I try to install it the package manager wants to remove
most of the other openoffice.org packages. I suspect it has to do with
the following dependencies:

Recommends: openoffice.org-core (> 1:2.4.0)
Conflicts: openoffice.org-core (>= 1:2.4.0.1)
Conflicts: openoffice.org-core (< 1:2.4.0)

So basically it wants openoffice.org-core (1:2.4.0). The currently
installed version from the repositories is 1:2.4.1~rc1-1ubuntu1.

Probably this is an invalid bug since I'm running backport packages of
which some might simply not be up to date. But I thought I'd rather
report anyway.

Thanks for your attention and all the good work.
Dennis
