Your problem with df is caused by a line break which is added for readability
on small screens. You can force the POSIX output format (which is grep-able) by
using:
$ df -P
** Changed in: coreutils (Ubuntu)
Sourcepackagename: None => coreutils
Status: New => Won't Fix
