crash:

I recently put in a bug fix for this chipset to Hardy and Intrepid:
xserver-xorg-video-intel (2:2.2.1-1ubuntu13.3) hardy-proposed; urgency=low
* 21_fix_dpll_prg_in_crtc_mode_set.patch:
- Fixes display problems caused by Jesse's force pipe A enablement
patch, which breaks DPLL programming, causing screen to turn black
when changing resolutions. (LP: #236001)

So I believe this is fixed in Intrepid and Hardy 8.04.1. If not and it
can still be reproduced, please feel free to reopen the bug.
