Hmm, not really enough info in that backtrace to make any guesses.  If
you can reproduce the bug, please try to collect a full backtrace - see
http://wiki.ubuntu.com/X/Backtracing for directions.

I didn't spot anything particularly unusual about the mbox file you
attached.  Perhaps the issue is some sort of bug within kmail.  Try
using 'v' more heavily and see if you can reproduce it.

totem has been known to crash X a good bit.  Perhaps try running totem
in various ways while reading email to see if you can trigger it that
way.
