Thanks for your bugreport.
The documentation is incorrect, we do not yet offer automatic upgrade
from 6.06 to 8.04. We will enable this when 8.04.1 is released. If you
want to upgrade now, please run "gksu update-manager -d" and make sure
you have the version of update-manager from dapper-updates. Let me know
how that worked.
Please do not use apt-get for the upgrade from dapper to hardy, that
will break.
