Hi again As it happens, I've recently come across a bug which may be related to this--it also concerns problems with optical drives, which are due to a recent kernel update, so would not have been seen on older versions of Ubuntu. Can you look at bug 213639, and specifically at https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/213639/comments/8
Of course, if you can't even do that, then I don't know whether you can carry out enough of that procedure. You can presumably copy the files to the appropriate Ubuntu places from Arch...maybe you could run Ubuntu in a virtual machine to run the necessary commands? -- Kubuntu 8.04 Freezes during boot while loading CD Modules https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/236906 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
