Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: evolution

A memo saved from the Memos list won't import, and no error is reported.

Steps to reproduce:
Ceate a memo in Memos in Evolution.
Right-click the memo and choose Save As....
Name the file and select Save.
Choose Import File... from the File menu.
In the Evolution Import Assistant,
    choose Import a Single File,
    select the file just created,
set the file type to .vcf (if necessary)
choose either "Appointments and Meetings" or "Tasks"
    select "On this computer"
When finished with the assistant, the memo is nowhere to be found, and no error
is reported.

Perhaps VJOURNAL import is not supported? If so, an error should occur
when attempting to import one.
