Public bug reported:

This issue is noticed just after upgrading to 804x86 or installing clean
804x86. I haven't tried on another config.

The hardware:

Asus T3P5G965 barebone
BTX motherboard
Intel Core2duo E6400
2 GB ram
250 GB HD (160GB+250GB HD in other config)
Intel integrated video G965

The issue is noticed on both hardware configurations. On one was a clean
installation (250GB) on the other was an update from 704 (160+250GB).
This last update was done by first updating 704 to 710 and then updating
710 to 804.

After upgrading/installing system cooler will never stop spinning. While
in 704 and 710 the cooler was most of the time off, just with high
processor power demand turned on. Now, with 804, system cooler is always
on, even with no process running but the standard ones. No graphic, no
video, no office, just desktop. As hardware has not changed at all since
704, I presume is something related with acpi, apm.

Please, feel free to ask for further information, and if so, please
indicate the way to reach that info if it is not straigthforward.

Best regards
Xermán
