I can also confirm this bug.  When the partition manager starts, it
recognizes my 2nd HD (which is hdb), and offers to reformat the drive.
However, I already had 3 partitions on this drive (1 ntfs, 1 swap, and 1
ext3) and don't want to loose the ntfs partition.  When I go to manually
edit the partition table, it scans hda, and shows the 2 windows ntfs
partitions, but I am unable to select hdb with the button mentioned
above.  I'm not sure that the fact that I already have a Dapper install
on that disk is the issue.  However, gparted is reporting the right type
of hard drive, and not labeling it as a SCSI drive.
