Oh! you want to know if other apps print in "real" black ink normally, or simulated black? In other words, regardless of any "Print black" option, what ink cartridge is being used to print black?
That is a very good question, and one that someone other than myself should know, unless you think this might be system-specific, i.e. my comp and my printer. Again, I'm not eager to blow an ink cartridge on testing this, but I will make a note to myself to try printing in Kate, KWord, etc. once the current one starts to die out.
