Hi Sympy, Just wanted to point you to this post made to the Ubuntu kernel team mailing list (I've also inlined it below):
https://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/kernel-team/2008-June/002544.html "This is an announcement of the implementation of the wireless compatibility stack in Hardy linux-backports-modules. git://kernel.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ubuntu-hardy-lbm.git You can find out more about this project at linuxwireless.org. In essence, it is a backport of the current upstream versions of the wireless drivers and stack suites from http://git.kernel.org/?p=linux/kernel/git/linville/wireless- testing.git;a=summary You can install a test version of linux-backports-modules-2.6.24-19.19 (or higher) from my PPA at http://launchpad.net/~timg-tpi. I think I will not upload to the Ubuntu archive until this has had some regression testing on iwlwifi and the rtx200 drivers. Because of the constantly maturing nature of these drivers, LBM will experience frequent updates. I will attempt to choose relatively stable merge points, certainly at major kernel releases. However, your mileage may vary. Note that this completely replaces iwlwifi 1.2.25 as well as the rt2x00 drivers from Serialmonkey (that Stefan worked so hard to backport). For now please direct all comments to Launchpad Bug #237746. rtg -- Tim Gardner tim.gardner at ubuntu.com" It would probably be good if anyone here could test Tim's ppa and provide any feedback. Thanks. -- iwlwifi led patch has reached the official kernel and needs to be included in hardy https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/214289 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
