Public bug reported:

I am pretty much a linux newbee.. firstly thanks to anyone who reads and
offers help for me to find a fix, but please also try to fully explain
what you need me to post and how, as many of the reports I've read in an
effort to find a fix myself, have simply been 'too technical' and I've
found it hard to take some practical advice from them that I feel safe
to apply to my own PC.. but thanks mainly!

This is my first even linux install, and I have made many small
alterations to get it working in a way that I was enjoying, however over
the last few days the mouse has started to fail - to the point that it
now occasionally shuffles around when I push it.. but it is just an
annoyance, luckily I have the touchpad, which works fine at all times.

I thought this might be a problem after suspending the computer, and
often a reboot helped, but now after a fresh boot the Mouse freezes,
might come back for a few minutes and then just does nothing - but
remains lit, so has power.

I have made some changes to my USB settings to make my huawei E200 work
to provide internet without needing to connect each time - I also played
around with other things, too many to list or remember, and many via the
terminal, where I am not at all proficient - I really hope someone can
point me to where to start fixing things..

the mouse is branded Manhattan 173773 - it's a generic mouse with a
scroll, which I bought in Spain connected via USB with a cable.

anyhow.. to the bug.. I've read endless reports and forums, and tried a
few of the suggestions, none have done it yet.. I've also monitored the
output of the following:

dmesg | tail

RAM, while my System Monitor say only 25%..? )
