A. Do you get the issue on every share? Every share gives an error on first access. Subsequent accesses display N-1 items, where N is the total amount of files/folders in the share. If a share has only one item, then 0 items are displayed.
B. Could you describe how to set up a problematic one? Share a folder "Test" from Windows Vista (Not SP1 but otherwise updated). Share permissions = Everyone/Full Control. NTFS Permissions = Everyone/Full Control (plus standard inherited permissions on the System Volume). Create a file "Item1.txt" in the shared folder. >From Nautilus browse to the folder. You get an error as described in item #4. Refresh the folder, and 0 items are displayed. Add "Item2.txt" to the shared folder on Vista. >From Nautilus browse to the folder. Only "Item2.txt" is visible. C. Does gvfs-ls list the content correctly? No: $ gvfs-ls smb://server/Test Item2.txt Thanks, Brandon -- Network/SMB browsing has issues https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/238067 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
