Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. It is recommended to never run xsane as root for various
security and configuration reasons. You may now have a permissions issue
with your configuration files. Please try removing your ~/.sane
directory and retesting xsane as a user. Thanks in advance.
