I have this same problem

When using Nautilus as root (running Nautilus with gksudo) and clicking on the
trash in the sidepane the Ubuntu system becomes continuously busy the memory
consumption climbs until the system become unstable with the mouse becoming
jerky and forcing a reboot the 1 GB on the machine aproaches 100% this is
happening on a Dell Precision 380 workstation 1GB ram with ATI fire gl 128MB
graphics card, also occurs on a Dell laptop Inspiron 9100 512MB ram with ATI
Mobility Radeon 9700 64MB ram, does not happen using a live cd on same systems,
and only recently, as I used to be able to use the sidepane as root before with
no problems.

WHY IS THIS AN INVALID CRASH REPORT? SHOULD YOU NOT TRY TO REPLICATE THE
PROBLEM WHEN IT IS NOT POSSIBLE OR EASY FOR SOMEONE TO GENERATE A CRASH
REPORT, WHAT A DISMISSIVE ARROGANT WAY TO "IMPROVE UBUNTU"
