Binary package hint: compiz

If a gtk menu pops up and the program goes to sleep, then the whole desktop
freezes. I modified a python gtk program available here:
http://www.pygtk.org/pygtk2tutorial/examples/menu.py
The attached program has been slightly modified to sleep in the callback when
the button is pressed. I expect this one application to become unresponsive.
Instead, the entire desktop hangs (like how Windows hangs!).
So if a (buggy) app does some infinitely blocking operation, then I have to
restart my session. I think this is a serious problem.

Please investigate.
