I really don't know why this is happening but I'm sending more info:
At a minimum, we need:
1. the specific steps or actions you took that caused you to encounter the
problem,
- Open firefox.
- No location bar, no text imput for find and set the home page.
2. The exact version of firefox.
firefox-3.0
3.0~rc1+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.8.04.1
3. When did you install the last upgrade of the firefox package.
Today.
