The main reason for my wish of this being included in main is to fix bug
213367

Avaible for amd64, i386, powerpc and sparc

It has no CVE Entries os Secuniahistory.

Does it directly (not through a library) process binary (video, audio, etc) or 
structured (PDF, etc) data ? 
Yes, it adds metadata to pictures

libiptcdata is a library, for manipulating the International Press
 Telecommunications Council (IPTC) metadata stored within multimedia files such
 as images. The library provides routines for parsing, viewing, modifying, and
 saving this metadata.
