Binary package hint: aptitude
I realized today that aptitude apparently does not always return correct
search results.
$ dpkg -l linux-image*|grep ii
ii linux-image-2.6.24-17-generic 2.6.24-17.31
Linux kernel image for version 2.6.24 on x86
ii linux-image-2.6.24-18-generic 2.6.24-18.32
Linux kernel image for version 2.6.24 on x86
ii linux-image-generic 2.6.24.18.20

But, in aptitude "/24-17" returns nothing, "/24-18" works fine. I know
that other packages were affected, too. They might all have been kernel
packages, I am not sure.
