Public bug reported:
I'm experiencing behaviour similar to that in bug #223647: the system
boots and runs unusably slow. Unfortunatly, upgrading the BIOS did not
help and neither did downgrading to gutsy server.
Hardware:
Intel DG965OT mainboard
(BIOS update 1729)
Intel Core2 Duo E4500
4 GB RAM (4 x 1 GB)
200 GB SATA disk
1 TB SATA disk (unused)
PATA CD-ROM
I have tried (in that order) 8.4 server 64 bit, 8.4 server 32 bit and 7.10
server 32 bit. All exhibit the same behaviour but the *installation* (when
booting form the CD) runs snappy on the two latter (but not the first).
** Affects: linux (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
