Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-panel If the gnome-panel with a window-list is placed on the left or right edge of the screen it loops as soon as two windows have the same names. It is unresponsible (apart from the qfreqlet applet and the system- monitor-applet) until I kill the gnome-panel process and it restarts itself. If i then have closed the 'twin-named' windows it works again, if they still are running it loops again. I tried placing the gnome-panel in horizontal position, but then I can't reproduce the bug, so its connected somehow with the vertical positions. (Extend is on, Autohide is off, hide-buttons are off), Removing all my other applets doesn't help either. This behaviour can easily be reproduced by starting gimp (opens up some windows named with "GIMP") I'm using Hardy final with a standard gnome-installation and gnome-panel 1:2.22.2-0ubuntu1. Feisty didn't have this bug. ** Affects: gnome-panel (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Invalid -- vertical gnome-panel loops with not unique window-names https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/239200 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
