Update: This isn't every single time on my Compal CL56, but it is at least 50% of the time.
Looking through the logs, I see this show up occasionally: Jun 9 23:32:17 thyme gnome-power-manager: (elladan) Suspending computer. Reason: The lid has been closed on ac power. Jun 9 23:32:22 thyme kernel: [ 1685.691942] ADDRCONF(NETDEV_UP): eth1: link is not ready <------------------------------- Jun 9 23:32:22 thyme kernel: [ 632.230603] ACPI: PCI interrupt for device 0000:02:01.0 disabled Jun 9 23:32:22 thyme kernel: [ 843.114072] ACPI: PCI interrupt for device 0000:02:02.0 disabled Jun 9 23:32:24 thyme kernel: [ 634.372406] Syncing filesystems ... done. Jun 10 21:17:49 thyme kernel: [ 634.372719] Freezing user space processes ... (elapsed 0.00 seconds) done. Also, this often shows up, but not always (I haven't verified that it's related): Jun 8 16:20:02 thyme NetworkManager: <info> Deactivating device eth1. Jun 8 16:20:03 thyme NetworkManager: <WARN> nm_device_802_11_wireless_get_mode(): error getting card mode on eth1: No such device eth1 is my ipw2200 / Intel Centrino wifi chip. -- Get notification about sleep failed even though it seems to have gone well after suspend https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/195095 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
