OK, please stop firefox, then do

 find $HOME/.mozilla/ -name extensions.\*

and remove those files.

if that doesnt help, what language are you using? if its spanish
(e.g. es), please reinstall your langpacks like:

 sudo apt-get install --reinstall language-pack-es language-pack-es-base


adapt the -es to match your language code. to see whats currently
installed you can run:


dpkg -l language-pack-\* | grep ^ii
