Public bug reported: After upgrading my Kubuntu installation from Gutsy to Hardy, the sound stopped working. Drivers and such seems to be in place and I've fiddled with the alsamixer without any results.
I've attached all the sound debugging info as stated here: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/SoundTroubleshooting?action=show&redirect=DebuggingSoundProblems . The lspnp command was not installed (tell me if you need it) and the /etc/asound.conf and ~/.asoundrc files did not exist. Apart from that, everything else should be there. Feel free to contact me if you need any more information regarding this issue. PS. This bug looks very much like https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux- source-2.6.22/+bug/126157 , but I use a different hardware. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- No sound for Acer Travelmate 8204 (8086:27d8) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/239453 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
