Please, give the result of:
apt-cache policy flashplugin-nonfree
uname -r
apt-cache policy firefox-3.0
And provide a backtrace of the crash: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/MozillaTeam/Bugs
You will see that the crash start point comes from the flash plugin.
The fact that Firefox should better manage the buggy flash plugin, as Opera
does, is a feature request; fill another bug report for that (if it does not
already exist).
Set to incomplete until the required information are provided.
