Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: nautilus
Ubuntu hardy heron 8.04 amd64
$ apt-cache policy nautilus
nautilus:
Installed: 1:2.22.3-0ubuntu2
Candidate: 1:2.22.3-0ubuntu2
Version table:
*** 1:2.22.3-0ubuntu2 0

Disabling "show desktop" works as expected, the desktop icons are hidden:
$ gconftool-2 -s /apps/nautilus/preferences/show_desktop -t boolean 0
$ gconftool-2 -g /apps/nautilus/preferences/show_desktop
false
However, if you try to reenable show_desktop it doesn't work. The icons remain
hidden, I cannot right-click on the desktop:
$ gconftool-2 -s /apps/nautilus/preferences/show_desktop -t boolean 1
$ gconftool-2 -g /apps/nautilus/preferences/show_desktop
true
** Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
