In response to a query by Michael Vogt, following suggestions on the website, I ran the following commands as su:
apt-get -f install apt-get clean apt-get update apt-get upgrade apt-get autoremove This seemed to solve the problem, but it also clouds the question as to whether I was running the latest version of libgksu2-0. When I rand the commands you listed: apt-get update apt-get install libgksu2-0 I was informed that I already had the newest version. -- Update Manager hangs in 8.04 LTS https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/239358 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
