Public bug reported:

The beta release of Edgy has been working well on my AMD64 with NVidia
GeForce MX 4000 card. But after this morning's update (to RC), the
Kubuntu login screen has a larger virtual size (than the 1200x1600
screen res) and I see the following errors in dmesg:

[ 24.857528] agpgart: Detected AGP bridge 0
[ 24.857992] agpgart: Aperture conflicts with PCI mapping.
[ 24.858040] agpgart: Aperture from AGP @ ec000000 size 4096 MB
[ 24.858042] agpgart: Aperture too small (0 MB)
[ 24.858081] agpgart: No usable aperture found.
[ 24.858121] agpgart: Consider rebooting with iommu=memaper=2 to get a good
aperture.

Also, during boot-up and shutdown, the Kubuntu graphics are "corrupted"
(lower quality graphics than previous, with portions missing).

Upon logging in, everything seems to work alright -- no more "enlarged
virtual resolution", OpenGL apps have reasonable frame rates, etc.

** Affects: Ubuntu
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Unconfirmed
