Public bug reported:
When e2fsck decides that it is time to check a filesystem during boot
(e.g. because there have been too many mounts since the last check),
there is no visual feedback to indicate that this is happening. To the
user, the system appears to lock up entirely during bootup. There should
be at least a message indicating that the bootup process will require
several minutes because of a filesystem check.
This is under Ubuntu Edgy Eft RC1, as of 20 October 2006.
