Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-openchrome

Hi,

I use Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo Pro v2030 laptop with ubuntu 8.04.

I recently switched to openchrome driver, (by installing xserver-xorg-
video-openchrome and changing driver to "openchrome" in xorg.conf).

>From time to time, my screen is reset (i'm still logged in). All windows
disappear for a short while, then borders of some of them apeear,
usually without content. Content appears when X redraws window, or
component inside one, e.g. when I rollover a button.

I found something in dmesg:
[ 2097.135477] [drm:via_cmdbuf_wait] *ERROR* via_cmdbuf_wait timed out hw 15f60
cur_addr 248 next_addr 80261

Xorg.0.log is filled with:
