That is indeed weird! Since this bug does not happens with a clean Hardy installation and that it cannot be caused by specific hardware (AFAIK), this must be caused by a specific wrong configuration.. However, I don't have necessary knowledge to help you further with that bug report. In case you want to test this bug in a clean Hardy installation, you can install virtualbox-ose and virtualbox-ose-modules to have a virtual Hardy installation in which you can test whatever you want. If you can get to reproduce the steps needed to cause this bug to appears inside a clean Hardy installation, then we'll have necessary information for developers.
