Public bug reported:

Hi there,

First up I appologize for not having more information here, but due to
the nature of the problem I don't actually know what / how else I can
provide more info. Ask and ye shall recieve. :)

Anyway, the basic problem is that the system hangs hard intermittently
(but frequently). Neither ctrl+alt+del, alt+ctrl+f1, ctrl+alt+sysrq+b do
anything. The mouse freezes. The screen image stays up, but doesn't
update anything like the clock.

My system was working fine with KDE 4.04 until the beta 4.1 packages
went in.

I'm on Kubuntu 8.04.1 Remix.
Nvidia binary drivers (for an Nvidia 440 Go card) installed by jockey-kde
Intel wireless
Intel CPU
Nothing fancy plugged in just a USB mouse) although it is a tablet PC (working
HP TC1100)

Please let me know any other info I could provide to help.

Cheers
