Hi
I am using a Acer Laptop (Acer 5583NWXMI, 5580 series) with Intel(R)
PRO/Wireless 3945ABG/BG Network Connection, whic doesn't work.
I have tried #ubuntu on IRC and all ubuntu forums but to no use.
Here are a few logs which may help you in tracing:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ dmesg| grep iwl
[ 31.264381] iwl3945: Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 3945ABG/BG Network Connection

[ 37.950254] iwl3945: Radio disabled by HW RF Kill switch
fn+f2 - toggle does not work, the switch on the laptop does not work either. :-(
bios does not have any options for it.
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ iwconfig

Please help in accelerating this issue. My mobility is hindered causing
a productivity loss (sorry for the heavy words :-) ).
Someone told me that we had proprietary drivers earlier in the
repository but not now, that causes a loss in functionality. Why can't
those drivers be put again?
