I get this when sudo synaptic and gksu which is the command I get from System/Administration/Synaptic Package Manager: ubuntu804:/$ sudo synaptic sudo: unable to resolve host ubuntu804 [sudo] password for ken: ubuntu804:/$ gksu /usr/sbin/synaptic sudo: unable to resolve host ubuntu804
However, synaptic brings up the normal window in both cases.
