This appends with Kubuntu edgy eft RC
Hardware detection progression bar stays at 0% and i've no choice but to
click on the cross to close the progess window and then cancel the
installation
then i get this error message :

My hardware is pretty common : i've got an old DELL optilex GX1 with a
DVD writer and a standard eth PCI card and 512Mo RAM memory .
this hardware was correctly recognized when install debian etch (same
thing with sarge) and the new Mandriva Corporate Server 4
