Hello again, Another interesting update on this: I was trying to import my old bookmarks.html file into firefox, as I was previously unaware that firefox 3 uses the sqlite files and was merely backing up my bookmarks file when creating new profiles.
I used the bookmark import utility, imported from that file, closed out of the Organize Bookmarks window (either Alt-F4 or the X button) and I would have them in my bookmark menu.... until the next time I restarted firefox. I manually imported them for a few times before it dawned on me to try using the Quit menu option to close out of the Organize Bookmarks window. Lo and behold, bookmarks have been there ever since. Not sure if it's gnome, comiz, or what, but something about closing firefox (and its dialogs) without the native Quit option is definitely killing things, at least on my system. I've reverted to using a basic session manager extension for now, until this gets pegged. Let me know if I can be of any assistance! -- firefox 3 session restore and undo closed tab missing https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/192653 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
