Oh my god, horrible day. This is quite another bug :( Just realized, must have to do with my allergy. I'm running Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy Heron, Nvidia restricted drivers on a GeForce 8400M GS (the one shipped with the Dell Linux XPS 1330) However, the environment was the same like this one (taken from the bug I mixed up with this one):
