I have read in the package discription, that virus-checking in rar-files is
build-in
# apt-cache show clamav
...
This package contains the command line interface. Features:
  - built-in support for various archive formats, including Zip, RAR, Tar,
    Gzip, Bzip2, OLE2, Cabinet, CHM, BinHex, SIS and others;
...

but when I check a file, I get the following output:
# clamscan test.rar
LibClamAV Warning: RAR code not compiled-in

** Affects: clamav (Ubuntu)
