I'm also experiencing problems with KMix, Amarok and keyboard keys. Here's the situation. Running Hardy, KDE3. I have Logitech Media keyboard. By default if i press media buttons (mute, volume down, volume up) Kmix OSD is showing and says Mute On, Mute Off (nothing happens though). Volume Up works to 10%, Volume Down 0%, so i can switch 0% or 10%, however still no change. I've made bindings in Amarok to volume up, volume down and mute but they can't work with Kmix running. If I shut down Kmix, when i press one of the 3 buttons, Kmix is starting again. I don't know what to do. I want my keys to work properly.
