Public bug reported:
hello, and sorry if this has been reported and fixed already.
the problem is that when i try to pair my mobile with the pc for some
reason the mouse and keyboard stop working, and i have to do a hard
reset to get back in to a working session
this worked fine in gutsy, and was really easy to do, but now in hardy
it doesnt work.
basically i have all the bluetooth files needed for this to run, i start the
bluetooth dongle up on the pc and then search for devices, once ive found the
pc and i want to pair the 2 is when the problem happens, when you pair 2
devices you have to enter a pass key, so i enter the pass key in the phone,
then a small box pops up and says click to enter pass key, i enter pass key and
3 seconds later the keyboard and mouse stop working (neither will respond and i
am un-able to use and keys or the mouse, hence having to press the reset button
on the pc)
like i said ive never had this issue with gutsy, so i dont know whats changed
in hardy.
im using 8.04 (hardy heron)
the phone is a vodafone 810 (and works perfectly on other systems with the usb
dongle, and did work under gutsy)
the usb dongle is a cheap one, the driver disc says broadcom on it, and this to
worked perfectly under gutsy.
the keyboard is a standard one, not usb (ps/2)
the mouse is a wireless mouse
both the phone and dongle work find on a windows system, and as i have said
worked fine under gutsy
any help would be appreciated.
cheers
