Private bug reported:
Binary package hint: grub
boot up text is displayed a few characters off beyond left edge of
screen.
using vga modes option in menu.lst only affects splash screen resolution
and a verbose shutdown (which without the vga option is also off
center)
reinstalling nor updating grub showed no results in fixing this issue.
8.04 kernel 2.6.24-19-generic x86
grub installed version 0.97-29ubuntu21 (default configuration unchanged)
single boot OS
